Biographies

Michael Huttman

Executive Chairman and Chief Investment Officer
Michael Huttman

Michael has overall responsibility for the investment strategy and risk management of Millennium Global's investment activities. He has been managing both active currency overlay and currency alpha for the past 22 years, and is recognised as one of the pioneers of that industry.

Michael was hired by Goldman Sachs in 1990 to start up the international asset management business (GSAM) office in London. He had global responsibility for the managed currency business, overlay & alpha, set up the fundamental-discretionary investment process and also headed Goldman's International Asset Allocation Committee.

Prior to 1990, Michael spent seven years with JP Morgan in New York, London and Zurich, where he initially managed global fixed income portfolios and then became JP Morgan's Investment Management's (JPMIM) first dedicated head of the active currency overlay business.

From 1980 to 2001, Michael was involved with the organisation of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Michael graduated from the University of Geneva, Switzerland with an MA in Economics (Sc Com) and gained a certificate from the London Business School in Investment Management. He has been registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the SEC and CFTC for numerous years.

Alan Eisner

Senior Managing Director, Global Currency
Alan Eisner

Alan is head of Millennium's currency trading team for both G7 and emerging foreign exchange markets. He leads Millennium's tactical trading efforts and shares responsibility for strategic investment themes with the CIO.

Before joining the company, Alan was Chief Investment Officer of Trinity Asset Management where he managed Trinity's Emerging Currency Fund and prior to that a Vice President at Salomon Brothers International Limited. At Salomon's he worked on the foreign exchange sales and trading desks in New York, London and Singapore. During his eleven years at Salomon Brothers he gained extensive experience in trading both G-10 and emerging market currencies, as well as playing a key role in establishing the firm's foreign exchange operations in Singapore, and later in developing its sales and trading capability in global emerging market currencies. Alan graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Master of Arts degree in Economic History and is registered with both the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and CFTC.

He is British and is married with two children.

Mark Astley

Chief Executive Officer
Mark Astley

Mark is Chief Executive Officer of Millennium Global and is responsible for the implementation and execution of business strategy. Mark has an extensive investment management background with experience across all asset classes, in both the traditional and alternative investment industry, and has a specialist focus on global macro strategy.

Prior to joining Millennium Global, Mark spent 15 years at Schroders undertaking research and managing portfolios in fixed income, equity and foreign exchange markets in New York, Hong Kong and London. Latterly, he was responsible for macro strategy in Schroders' USD 3 billion multi-currency fixed income business focusing on duration management, country allocation and currency overlay. Mark also has extensive experience in managing derivatives exposure across equity, currency, commodity and fixed income assets. His experience in equity markets spans both Europe and Asia and while domiciled in Hong Kong, he co-managed the Japanese component of global balanced pension fund portfolios. Mark was awarded Global Fixed Income Fund Manager of the Year in 2001 by International Money Marketing magazine.

Mark is an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals ("ASIP") and is registered with CFA-UK and Financial Services Authority ("FSA"). Mark was awarded a sponsorship to the Banking and Finance degree course at Loughborough University.

Arne Hassel

Managing Director, Fund of Hedge Funds and GTAA
Arne Hassel

Arne is Managing Director in charge of Fund of Hedge Funds and Global Tactical Asset Allocation (GTAA). Arne spent seven years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he was Managing Director and Head of Global Currency Management before becoming Head of The Hedge Fund Strategies Group in London. He was also a member of the GSAM International Asset Allocation Committee. Subsequently, he acted as CIO of Coronation Fund Managers' international fund of hedge funds business. Arne also spent seven years at SEB as Senior Economist then responsible for European Fixed Income and Currency Management. More recently he founded and was CIO of Corylus Capital, a systematic global macro hedge fund programme.

During his time at Coronation, the Coronation Global Equity Long/Short Fund of Funds received an award for best fund of the year in 2004 by InvestHedge. While at Goldman Sachs the Hedge Funds Strategies Group received several prizes, including awards from Global Investor, Global Pensions Europe and Financial News in 2002. The Goldman Sachs Currency Fund grew to $20 billion under management and received awards from Standard & Poor, Offshore Financial Review and Investment International in 2000 and 2001.

Arne has a broad educational background in economics, finance and science. He received a MSc in Economics from The Stockholm School of Economics and a MSc (equivalent) in Biotechnology and a BA (equivalent) in Political Science from Uppsala University.

Lisa Scott-Smith

Managing Director, Global Currency
Lisa Scott-Smith

Lisa is a senior portfolio manager within the currency team and shares responsibility for investment strategy and positioning in developed and emerging foreign exchange markets. She specialises in portfolio construction and implementation using FX options.

Before joining Millennium in 2005, Lisa was a Director at Credit Suisse First Boston in the Global Foreign Exchange Group, where she ran the London team responsible for hedge funds (2001-2005). Prior to this, Lisa was a Vice President within the Global Foreign Exchange group at JP Morgan in London.

During her 10 years at JP Morgan, Lisa advised a global mix of Institutional, Corporate and hedge fund clients in foreign exchange markets, derivatives and strategies. In her final four years at JP Morgan, Lisa managed the Global Options Sales team, which advised on FX options and structures for global institutional investors.

Lisa played a key role in the design and launch of JP Morgan's Volatility Centre and e-commerce FX initiatives. She wrote regular FX option analysis pieces for the website and JP Morgan research publications. Lisa was invited to speak on foreign exchange at the NY Federal Reserve's annual Central Bank conferences in 1998, 1999 and 2000.

James Guiang

Managing Director, Natural Resources
James Guiang

Primary responsibility for individual company investment analysis, investment structuring and monitoring.

Jim has more than 25 years' experience in the international oil and gas exploration and production industry, and has been an energy industry specialist in M&A, merchant banking and corporate finance since 1988. He trained in the USA as a petroleum geophysicist and geologist and began his career in the energy industry in 1979 with Exxon in New Orleans and Houston, and subsequently Amerada Hess in Denver and Conoco International in London and Stavanger. At Conoco (London) he was a senior geophysicist and was credited with drilling 13 successful wells in the North Sea between 1982 and 1988. These successes were valued at USD 920 million and used risk capital of USD 65 million. Since leaving Conoco in 1988, he has advised on oil and gas investments, working closely with Lion Resource Management and Lake Asset Management, specialist resource investment management companies registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in the UK.

Jim is a graduate of Boston College (Bachelor of Science in Geophysics and Geology 1979), Boston University (London Metropolitan College branch - Master of Science in Business Administration 1987), the London Business School (Corporate Finance Evening Programme 1987), and was a visiting student at the Colorado School of Mines (Geology 1976). Michael Balboa

Managing Director, Emerging Credit
Michael Balboa

Responsible for managing the Millennium Global Emerging Credit Fund, Mike has over ten years' experience managing emerging markets fixed income securities.

From 1992 to 1995, he worked for Salomon Brothers in New York as an analyst of emerging market bond markets before leaving to co-manage the Strategos Fund, an emerging markets hedge fund founded in 1995. The Strategos Fund was ranked 4th in 1996 and 9th in 1997 by Micropal and the Wall Street Journal for the category of global emerging markets. Subsequently, in 1999, he joined Greenwich Europe Ltd as a Manager of Emerging Markets Sales and Trading, where he was responsible for building the emerging markets debt trading desk. From 2003 to 2006, Mike was actively involved in the management of the top performing Rainbow Advisor's emerging markets funds as well as the Rainbow Macro fund, which have compounded returns of over 20% per annum with particular specialisation in short selling credit strategies. Mike is registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Mike is a graduate of Hofstra University with a Bachelor's with highest honours in Finance and Economics.

Claire Dissaux

Executive Director, Global Economics and Strategy
Claire Dissaux

Claire is in charge of Global Economics and Strategy at Millennium Global. Her main focus is on macroeconomic and FX research, for both G10 and Emerging Markets, working with teams managing currency, multi-strategy and hedge funds products.

Before joining Millennium Global, Claire ran the Emerging Market Research and Strategy Team at Credit Agricole Indosuez, then Calyon. She initially joined Credit Agricole Indosuez in 1998 as an Asia Economist. Prior to this, she was a Country Risk Analyst at Société Générale. She began her career in 1995 as an Economist at the Ministry of Finance in France. During her 11 years in capital markets, Claire has provided client support on emerging markets currency hedging solutions and developed quantitative models to measure various emerging market risks.

Claire graduated from ENSAE, the French National School for Statistics and Economics, in Paris. She also holds a degree of advanced studies (DEA) in Macroeconomics, Modelling and Forecasting from University of Paris (Pantheon-Sorbonne).

Richard Benson

Executive Director, Global Currency
Richard Benson

Richard is a portfolio manager and member of the Global Currency investment team. Before joining Millennium Global in 2008, Richard was a Currency Portfolio Manager at both Investec Asset Management and Fischer Francis Trees and Watts (FFTW) in London.

During his 5 years at FFTW, Richard was a key member of the Global Currency team. He had responsibility for managing global currency exposures in both currency alpha and currency overlay programmes. He was instrumental in the development of the currency process from a purely discretionary G3 activity and to a broader range of currencies, encompassing both directional cash and options positions. Richard also had a specialist background in European currencies. Richard's portfolio management responsibilities also extended into managing Fixed Income exposures across Global Bond portfolios.

Richard has a BEng in Naval Architecture from Newcastle University. After leaving university he spent 5 years in the Royal Navy as a Warfare Officer. He is a keen sportsman and enjoys Rugby, Sailing and Skiing. Richard is registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Nick Wood

Nick Wood

Nick is a member of the currency team, responsible for trade execution on behalf of the portfolio managers and portfolio management support.

Prior to joining Millennium in February 2007, Nick spent five years in similar roles within the fixed income and currency team at Aberdeen Asset Management and Deutsche Asset Management.

Jeffrey Thomas

Trader
Jeffrey Thomas

Jeff is responsible for trading on Millennium Global's Emerging Credit and High Yield funds. He has nearly 20 years of experience trading in global capital markets, primarily focusing on foreign exchange and equity-related products.

Jeff joined Millennium Global in June 2008 from a subsidiary of Gelber Group LLC where he was a proprietary trader in the FX group. Prior to Gelber, the bulk of Jeff's career has been in international banking and he has worked in three major financial centres: New York, London and Hong Kong.

During the period from 1992 to 2007, Jeff was a sales/trader covering hedge fund clients for Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Dresdner, Chemical Bank, SEB and ANZ. He specialised in global foreign exchange, cash and derivatives sales, advising clients on FX structuring and macro strategy. He also worked on the Japanese equity desk as a sales trader for Goldman Sachs in London from 2000 to 2002. Whilst at SEB, Jeff also co-managed SEBTIP (SEB Trade Idea Portfolio), a notional USD3m portfolio with defined drawdown limits investing across major asset classes. Jeff started his career in 1998 in the Graduate Training Program at Bank of New York, where he subsequently joined the bank's Treasury Division with responsibility for FX sales to corporate clients.

Jeff is registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA). He graduated from the University of Rocester in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/Economics. He stayed on to complete his Masters of Business Administration at the William E. Simon School in 1988, with a degree in Finance and Corporate Accounting.

Marcelo Paiva

Marcelo is a member of the private equity team and has primary responsibility for individual company investment analysis, investment structuring and monitoring. Previously, Marcelo was an Associate at Credit Suisse First Boston in London, and an Associate and an Analyst at UBS in New York, and started his career at Pentagono / Brasilpar in Brazil. Marcelo has a BA from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and an MBA from INSEAD. He attended the Wharton MBA exchange program, and is a CFA charterholder. He speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish and French.

Igor Kryuchkov

Igor Kryuchkov

Igor joined Millennium in October 2007 as an Analyst for the Millennium Global Emerging Credit Fund. He is primarily responsible for evaluating fixed income investment opportunities within the Emerging Markets space.

Previously, Igor was a Portfolio Manager for a London-based Eastern European family office and a Special Situations Analyst for Cathay Financial LLC, an independent sell-side research boutique in New York City. He began his career in 1998 at the Chicago office of Newcourt Capital LLC, a structured finance advisory firm, before returning to Canada to join CIBC World Markets as an Investment Banking Analyst.

Igor is a 2002 graduate of the MBA programme at Cornell University in the US and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto (1998). He is fluent in Russian.

Joseph Mullin

Joseph Mullin

Joseph joined Millennium Global in October 2007 and is a Senior Analyst in the Millennium Global High Yield ("MGH") team with responsibility for distressed and special situation investments.

He has over 12 years' experience in distressed debt, private equity and investment banking. He was previously a Research Analyst at WL Ross & Co. LLC where he spent six and a half years working for Wilbur Ross on distressed debt, capital structure arbitrage and private equity investments. He began his career at Goldman Sachs as a Financial Analyst in the Corporate Finance Department of the Investment Banking Division and later worked on Principal Finance opportunities for the FICC Division.

Joseph has an A.B. Magna Cum Laude with Highest Honors from Harvard College, in Romance Languages and Literatures, where he won the Frederick G Sheldon Fellowship Prize. He speaks Portuguese, Spanish and French.

Zarko Stefanovski

Zarko Stefanovski

Zarko Stefanovski is a Senior Analyst at Millennium Global Investments. In his role Zarko has responsibility for oil and gas and other natural resource sectors. He has 18 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, including 6 years in the oil and gas industry and 12 years in investment banking / stockbroking.

Zarko joined Millennium Global in April 2008 from Fox-Davies Capital where he was a Head of Oil & Gas Research, having joined the firm in June 2005. From 1990 to 1996, he worked for Geoservices as a geologist and engineer in the Southern North Sea, CIS, Western Africa and Middle East. In 1996 he joined T.Hoare & Co Stockbrokers (Canaccord Europe) as an oil and gas equity research analyst and subsequently worked at ABN Amro UK Equities (Sept 1997 - Dec 1998), CAIB (Unicredit) in London (Aug 2000 - Apr 2004) and Aton in Moscow (May 2004 - May 2005) as a senior oil and gas equity research analyst.

Zarko is registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) since 1996. He graduated from the CASS Business School of London in 2000 with a Master of Science degree in Finance. He also graduated from the University of Zagreb, Croatia with a Master of Science degree in Geology in 1988.

Minhua Wei

Minhua Wei

Minhua is a Senior analyst for the Millennium High Yield Fund and has the responsibility to source, structure, analyze and monitor investment in Asia, primarily in China. Previously, she worked for the Millennium Global Natural Resources Fund and the Millennium Global Currency Fund.

Before she came to the UK in 2004, Minhua had more than 5 years experience in commercial banking, corporate finance and M&A in China. Between 2002 and 2004, she worked as financial controlling manager for D'Long, a Shanghai based private strategic investment company, and was responsible for financial issues in several acquisition projects. Previously, she worked for Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, a listed commercial bank, from 1998 to 2002, first as a financial analyst, then as financial supervisor.

Minhua is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and Chinese CPA charterholder. She holds an MBA from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and an MSc in Finance and Investment from the University of Durham. Minhua is Chinese.

Peter Cuckovic

Peter Cuckovic

Peter joined Millennium Global in June 2008 and is a member of the Millennium Global High Yield Team with responsibility for distressed and special situation investments in Europe.

He has 10 years experience in researching high yield and distressed debt securities in Europe. He was previously a Head of European high yield and distressed debt research at Jefferies in London where he spent over 5 years covering the sector for its institutional and hedge fund clients. Prior to joining Jefferies, he worked in similar roles at Lehman Brothers and ING in London. He began his career in 1998 at Banque Paribas as a graduate recruit, working initially in the high yield telecom research department.

Peter is registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and holds an MBA from Imperial College Business School where he graduated in 1997. He is a native Serbo-Croat speaker.

David Pearson

Analyst
David Pearson

David is an Analyst at Millennium Global Investments. He is responsible for evaluating European high yield and distressed debt investment opportunities for the Millennium Global High Yield Fund.

Prior to joining Millennium Global in June 2008, David worked for the Special Situations Fund of BlueCrest Capital Management in London, where he was responsible for evaluating investment opportunities in both public and private securities. Prior to that, David worked as a Research Analyst at Jefferies International, covering high yield and distressed debt in Europe. David has also worked in corporate finance for Morgan Stanley in Toronto and CIBC World Markets in London and in principal investing for CIBC Capital Partners in Toronto.

He graduated from Queen's University in Canada with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with First Class Honours in 2000 and is a CFA charterholder.

Taher Khan

Taher Khan

Taher is Senior Quantitative Manager within the Global Tactical Asset Allocation and risk management team. Before joining Millennium, he was a partner at Corylus Capital, a systematic global macro hedge fund programme, following a period developing quantitative systems at Coronation Fund Managers. Before that he was a quantitative analyst at Brummer & Partners Nektar Fund - one of Europe's largest fixed income hedge funds and winner of the EuroHedge Best Fixed Income Fund Award in 2002.

Taher worked with international commodity arbitrage at the Queensway Group and also co-founded the web-based software services firm QuantMetrix. He received a BSc in Finance and Management and studied Computer Science at The Wharton School of Finance. He received a MSc in Financial Economics from The Stockholm School of Economics and is currently a PhD Candidate in Finance at the Birkbeck University of London.

Wei Mun Yap

Wei Mun Yap

Wei Mun joined Millennium in May 2007 as a quantitative analyst within the Global Tactical Asset Allocation and risk management team. He is responsible for quantitative research and model development across asset classes. He had previously worked for CIMB Investment Bank (Malaysia) in corporate finance, specialising in initial public offerings.

Wei Mun graduated from the London School of Economics in 2006, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Sciences. Wei Mun is Malaysian.

Hamlin Lovell

Senior Analyst, Multi-Strategy
Hamlin Lovell

Hamlin is the Senior Investment Analyst for the Millennium Multi-Strategy Fund ("MMS"), Millennium's fund of hedge funds. He has responsibility for generating fundamental and quantitative reports and recommendations on economics, global equities and hedge funds. Hamlin has 8 years experience of economic, financial and investment analysis.

His career began in the UK Government Economic Service and progressed into equity analysis at the Universities' Superannuation Scheme, the UK's third largest pension fund. He then worked at Independent Research Provider IDEA global as part of the UK equity team before entering the hedge fund world. Here, he carried out due diligence on hedge funds for The Capital Partnership Asset Management and Duration Asset Management, two London-based funds of hedge funds.

Hamlin is registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. He graduated from the University of Leicester in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.

He was previously a Senior Investment Analyst at Manulife Financial Global Investment Management in Toronto, Canada, evaluating equity and fixed income funds, after having worked as a proprietary equity trader.

Julita Tonkich

Investment Analyst, Multi-Strategy
Julita Tonkich

Julita joined Millennium Global in July 2008 as Investment Analyst for the Millennium Multi-Strategy Fund ("MMS"), Millennium's fund of hedge funds, where she monitors new and existing investments and assists in the due diligence process.

She was previously Assistant Fund Manager at Margetts Fund Management in the UK, focusing on portfolio construction and fund selection, while also being part of the Investment Committee at Greystone Wealth Management, where she represented Margetts and brought in operational input and investment views.

She graduated from the International University Concordia Audentes, Tallinn, Estonia, with a BA Hons in Business Administration and International Finance, Magna Cum Laude. She has also received language certificates from Soros International House, Vilnius, Lithuania. Julita speaks English, Lithuanian, Russian and Polish. Julita has passed the Investment Management Certificate.

Maria Gibson-Stark

Maria has over ten years' experience as a compliance officer and joined Millennium in 2000.

Maria is responsible for client/regulatory reporting and liaising with regulatory authorities. She is also responsible for coordinating new business and prime brokerage/counterparty relationships on a legal and operational perspective. Maria is registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Rakesh Patel

Legal Manager
Rakesh Patel

Rakesh joined Millennium in October 2006 and is responsible for legal issues, primebroker and counterparty relationships from a legal perspective and managing documentation. He also deals with regulatory and compliance matters.

Prior to joining the company he worked as a compliance analyst at Brewin Dolphin Securities working within the client services team and investigating investments held in private client portfolios.

Rakesh graduated from Staffordshire University in 2000 with a degree in law. He also holds a Masters in law from Wolverhampton University and a postgraduate diploma in legal practice from the University of Westminster. Rakesh is British.

Dorota Man

Office Manager
Dorota Man

Dorota is responsible for the general management of the office in London.

She speaks English, Polish and several other languages, and joined Millennium having obtained a Medical Analysis Technician diploma from Lublin Medical High School and a Master of Science degree in Engineering from the Department of Environmental Protection at Lublin Polytechnic University. Dorota is Polish.

Sotirios Chronis

Managing Director, Head of Operations
Sotirios Chronis

Sotirios provides Millennium's investment managers with in-house systems research and development in the fields of investment trading, administration and settlements, across asset classes (currencies, bonds and equities).

Sotirios joined Millennium in November 1996 following the completion of his postgraduate studies at the City University, London where he gained an MSc degree in Business Systems Analysis and Design. Sotirios gained his first degree, a BSc in Physics from the University of Athens, where he studied Applied Physics, Mathematical and Statistical Models.

Previously, Sotirios was a military officer in the Greek Pentagon.

James Hull

James works in the London office as an investment assistant. He is responsible for compiling daily reports for the traders, liaising with brokers, reconciliation and settlement process enhancements.

He joined Millennium in October 2006, having previously worked for Deutsche Bank, Bank of America and Nomura Bank operating primarily within FX settlements, middle office and sales over a 9 year career. James has gained valuable experience within the FX markets in a number of roles with a main focus around FX operations and client satisfaction.

Richard Macaskill

Richard Macaskill

Richard is a systems strategist and developer with primary responsibility for developing the firm's trade entry and position management systems.

Richard joined Millennium in 2000 from Trinity Asset Management, having previously worked for Lloyds of London, Jewson & Shell.

He has over fourteen years' experience in IT services, with particular emphasis on database programming and administration (Oracle and SQL Server), production of integrated reporting applications (employing C#, Java, UNIX and Visual Basic) and deployment of value-adding analysis technologies to the desktop (Data Marts/Warehouses, OLAP).

Richard graduated from Leeds University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics.

Guy Malfait

Senior Systems Developer
Guy Malfait

Guy joined Millennium in 2007 as a Systems Developer, focusing on .NET applications and SQL Server programming. He also has extensive experience with statistical programming environments, S-Plus in particular.

Prior to working with Millennium, Guy was a quantitative analyst at a research company in the horse racing industry. Earlier in his career, he coordinated the implementation of a Performance Attribution software package at Dexia Asset Management (Brussels). He has also worked as a software developer for a provider of urban digital networks.

Guy has a Licenciaat in Business and Engineering, and holds a Masters degree (Hons) in statistics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. He is Belgian, and speaks Dutch, French and English.

Jean Thouvenin

Jean is responsible for promoting Millennium's products to institutional investors.

Prior to joining Millennium, Jean was the Global Head of Business Development at Pictet Asset Management in Geneva where he was responsible for developing Pictet's global client base as well as structuring innovative products to address client needs.

Prior to joining Pictet in November 1999, Jean was a partner and Head of Business Development for Europe and the Middle East at Fischer Francis Trees & Watts in London.

Over the period 1985 to 1992, Jean was Head of Fixed Income Sales at Nomura in Paris and before that, Jean held Senior Fixed Income Sales positions at both Salomon Brothers (New York and London) and JP Morgan (London). He holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) in France. Jean is registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Robert joined Millennium Global in September 2007 as a senior member of Millennium's Business Development team and is based in London. He is responsible for marketing and business development, and client relationship management.

Robert has eighteen years experience in Foreign Exchange markets. Before joining Millennium Global he spent five years at Citigroup and latterly thirteen years at UBS. He has been European Head of Foreign Exchange Distribution, Global Head of Emerging Markets Foreign Exchange Distribution and most recently served as the Global Head of Foreign Exchange Distribution to UBS's asset management franchise.

Karoline Molberg

Karoline is responsible for promoting the Millennium's range of fund products and developing client relationships.

Before joining Millennium in August 2006, Karoline was an Institutional Sales Representative at Bloomberg Tradebook Europe, the electronic brokerage arm of Bloomberg. Over the 5 years, she was responsible for sales and marketing and account management within various countries across Europe and the Middle East.

Prior to that Karoline was an associate within the Structured Equity Derivatives trading team at Bankers Trust International where she was involved in exchange traded derivatives, OTC options and European equity markets (1997-2000). From 1995-96 she worked as a sales assistant with the Institutional Equity Sales at HSBC James Capel.

Karoline is registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Dianna Raedle

Dianna Raedle

Dianna Raedle is in charge of Business Development for the Americas. Ms. Raedle has over 17 years' experience in the capital markets with both public and private securities across the capital structure. Most recently she was COO of the Mayfair Group, an international alternative asset management boutique, where she was responsible for strategy, negotiating private equity and real estate investments and general operations.

Previously Dianna was a principal with Laurel Management, an investment advisory firm, where she made private equity fund investments. Dianna also has extensive experience creating highly structured credit transactions at SBC Warburg Inc, where she was a Director and at Credit Suisse First Boston (London and Switzerland), where she was a vice president. In addition, she was instrumental in building a Structured Finance Business at ABN AMRO, where she was a director.

Jesse Rodriguez

Jesse, as the senior principal of the Millennium Americas team, is responsible for managing Millennium's private equity effort in the Americas, including responsibility for individual company investment analysis, investment structuring and monitoring. Jesse has 16 years' experience in principal investing, M&A and corporate finance in the United States, Europe and Latin America. Jesse has worked and overseen investments in a variety of industry sectors included telecommunications, media, financial institutions, metals, mining, technology, business services and diversified manufacturing.

Previously, Jesse served as a Managing Director of Huron Consulting Group, a turnaround and restructuring consulting firm in the United States. From 1999 to 2002, Jesse was a Managing Director and Head of Latin America M&A and Merchant Banking for Banc of America Securities. In this capacity, he managed a portfolio of private equity and mezzanine investments in Latin America. From 1993 to 1998, Jesse was a Vice President at Salomon Brothers in New York and a member in the M&A and Financial Institutions groups. Prior to business school, Jesse was a Senior Associate at Bear, Stearns & Co Inc in New York.

Vanessa joined Millennium in June 2006 and is responsible for the general management of the office in Miami.

Deborah Sebire has twelve years' experience in investment and fund administration.

In 1993, Deborah joined Royal Bank of Canada Investment Management (Guernsey) Limited as Senior Investments Administrator, gaining valuable experience in custody procedures, fund administration, investment administration and compliance and audit.

Deborah joined Millennium in June 1999 and is responsible for the operations and administration of the manager in Guernsey overseeing the relationships the company may have with other entities. She is registered with the CFTC and the GFSC.

Graham Bufton is the Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Assistant Director at Millennium Asset Management Limited. In his role Graham's main responsibility is for Compliance and AML matters, but as deputy to the MD has a wide range of other duties. He has 39 years of experience in the offshore administrative environment.

Graham joined Millennium Asset Management Limited in February 2007 from Close Fund Managers Limited a wholly owned offshore entity of the London Listed Company Close Group Plc, where over a period of time his duties included, training, office management, legal and compliance.

Graham started his career 1970 with Lloyds Bank Plc in the UK before moving to Guernsey in 1977. In 1980 he joined Guinness Mahon Fund Managers Limited (now Investec) where he helped set up their first "Offshore Fund". He became a Director in 1983 until he left in 1986 to set up the Fund Management Company of Havelet Throgmorton Management Limited (Insinger De Beaufort). In 1997 Graham moved to Rea Brothers Limited (Close Fund Managers Limited) initially as the Training Manager. Most of his time here was spent launching and listing client offshore "collective investment schemes" (mutual funds). In February 2007 he joined Millennium Asset Management Limited as Assistant Director prior to being appointed as the Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

Graham is an Associate member of the Institute of Bankers and a Member of the Securities Institute.

Leon Meakin

Leon Meakin is a Fund Manager at Millennium Asset Management Limited. In his role Leon has responsibility for Fund Administration, Net Asset Value verification and all other general fund related duties. He has 11 years of experience in Fund Administration.

Leon joined Millennium Asset Management Limited in September 2006 from Legis Fund Services Limited where he was a Senior Fund Administration Officer.

In his previous role, Leon was responsible for the launch of new fund products and the drafting of their operational procedures.

Eelco Fiole

Eelco Fiole

Eelco joined Millennium in July 2008 and is Managing Director in charge of Group Finance. Based in Geneva, he has primary responsibility for developing and implementing the financial infrastructure for the Millennium Group.

Prior to joining Millennium, Eelco spent over 4 years at Centrum Bank, a boutique wealth manager in Vaduz, as Head of Finance and previously as Head of Corporate Development, where he focused on developing financial, risk management and governance structures supporting a strategic growth trajectory. Previously, Eelco was a senior project leader at a major German consulting firm, working on financial management projects in wealth management firms and universal banks based in developed and developing European countries. At UBS in Zurich and at its predecessor SBC in Basel, he served in various group-level managerial finance positions. Eelco started his career as a corporate banker with ABN AMRO in Amsterdam in January 1995.

During 2000 and 2002, while based in Singapore, Eelco completed his PhD in Economics with the University of Basel. Eelco graduated with a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from RSM Erasmus University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rotterdam University. Furthermore, Eelco holds the CFA, CAIA and FRM designations and participated in executive education at Wharton, Stanford, INSEAD and Chicago GSB. Joseph Strubel

Joseph Strubel

Joseph is a Senior Advisor to the Millennium Global High Yield Fund. In addition, he is a member of the investment committee for the Millennium Global Special Situations Americas Funds and Millennium Spire Funds and is instrumental in driving future African private equity investments. He has over twenty years' experience in portfolio management, trading and research of high yield, distressed and special situation investments, on a global basis.

Before starting the Millennium Global High Yield Fund in 1999, he was Head of Fixed Income Investments for Renaissance Capital Asset Management, where he managed portfolios of corporate debt instruments in Emerging Europe. From 1996-97, he was a Director, Credit Fixed Income Trading, with SBC Warburg Inc.

Additionally, he worked from 1991-95 in distressed debt portfolio management with the HSBC Group, and began his postgraduate career from 1987-90 as a Senior Economist with Merrill Lynch & Co. Joseph graduated from the University of Rochester with a Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance and Applied Economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Marc Clapasson

Marc Clapasson

Marc is responsible for driving expansion into German-speaking Europe to increase Millennium Global's presence in the German-speaking regions of Switzerland, Germany and Austria as well as improving institutional investors' access to Millennium Global's range of products.

Prior to joining Millennium in 2008, Marc was a Managing Director and heading the product and business development unit at Prime Capital (Asset Management) AG in Frankfurt where he was also a member of the investment committee. Marc was responsible for the implementation of new products and fund strategies into institutional portfolios and also oversaw all activities relating to fund structuring and platform solutions.

From 2002 until 2005, Marc was a product specialist for absolute return portfolios at GAM (Schweiz) AG, a leading firm in alternative investments worldwide. In 1994, Marc started his career at UBS AG in London and Zurich as an investment advisor with primary responsibility for intermediaries as well as private clients.

Marc holds a Master of Business Administration from IE Business School and was awarded a degree in Financial Asset Management and Engineering from HEC/Swiss Finance Institute. Mark is Swiss and he is fluent in German.

Ibrahim Sagna

Ibrahim Sagna

Ibrahim Sagna is a senior member of the Millennium Global Africa Team. Ibrahim has over ten years' experience managing private investments and entrepreneurial ventures in Africa.

Prior to joining Millennium, Ibrahim served from 2004 to 2007 as a Managing Director at TRG Holdings, a private equity portfolio company sponsored by EMP Global, AIG and other leading financial institutions. During his time at TRG, Ibrahim chaired on the board of the company's African subsidiary. He initiated and led investments and operations efforts in Africa. Before his engagement with TRG, Ibrahim worked from 1999 to 2004 at EMP Global, a USD 6billion private equity firm. While at EMP, Ibrahim served as an Investment Officer and was a member of the team which helped launch and manage the USD407million AIG African Infrastructure Fund chaired by H.E. Nelson Mandela. His previous professional experiences include roles at the International Monetary Fund, the Central Bank of West Africa and Merrill Lynch.

Ibrahim was selected in 2006 to be a member of the Presidential Investor Council of H.E. Abdoulaye Wade of Senegal.

Ibrahim is a graduate of Boston College (Master in Finance and Bachelor of Science in Finance, Information Systems and General Management) and was awarded a sponsorship to a Management Program at Harvard Business School. Ibrahim is Senegalese and speaks French.

Jide Ikeako

Jide is an Analyst on the Millennium Global Africa Team. His primary responsibilities are sourcing, structuring, analysing and monitoring investments in Africa.

Jide has 10 years of transaction experience in origination and execution in the African market. Prior to joining Millennium in 2008, Jide was Group Head, Corporate Banking, with Broad Bank Ltd in Nigeria, where he was responsible for expanding the banks wholesale banking business and originating credit transactions for corporations operating in sub-Saharan Africa.

Jide holds an MBA from Oxford University (UK Government Chevening Scholar) and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Nigeria.
